The Silver Embrace

The Silver Embrace

A Poem by Ravenwing

Verse 1:

Traced with the silver lining of hope,

Clouds white within the angles of Your face

I will lay to rest

Within Your embrace

Refrain:

You are the light in the abyss

The eternity that I long and miss

Wisdom in the form of bleeding roses

My Savior from this dark atrocious

Verse 2:

Compassion in the form of diamond tears

Glory stronger than our fears

Your blood sold to the depths of hell

To ring salvation’s bell

(Repeat Refrain)

Bridge:

From the far east to the far west

And to extreme north and south

Your hand reaches to us

The lost, and the wearied guest

The hand that...

Paid the price of our everyday sin

Cleanses our hearts of conflict

Mends the poison of gall and gin

Sets us free from Satan’s savage kin

Setting us free from Satan’s savage kin...

(Repeat Refrain)

Ending:

My Savior from this dark atrocious!

My Hope-filled, Silver Embrace!

I wrote this a few years ago, but I still enjoy it today and I fixed it a little too honestly. I could imagine a rock background to this song. What do you think? Is it too short?
