Stranger on the Street

Stranger on the Street

A Poem by Lawrence Bradford Bauman

To them, you are nothing
Just another body
Gone in a flash

Hundreds of you shroud their vision
Just an extra on the set of life
Another face in the crowd

Preoccupied with their own self
Unaware of your aspirations
And you of their own

Passing by they glance quickly
Summing you up in a blink
Never to be seen again

To you, they are nothing.
