let's start a fire
i want to start a
fire
burn away
all the injustices of the
world,
and i kiss my pillow
in prayers
that i'll wake to
a better place
in the morrow one better
than the one that
lulled these
nightmares into being;
i want
to kiss people with the
kindness denied me
on the street,
to burn a vibrant star
chasing away the dark
of the most obsidian night�"
i want to
be the
key to the ignition
that makes this world a better
place, be a listener
in world of talkers
a giver,
in a world of takers;
to hush the world
in the silence of profound thoughts.
