lionessA Poem by linda m. crateHear me roar.i'm not a ballet dancer won't mince my words or pirouette around the issues twirl through whirlwinds of emotions or break my toes trying to stand eye to eye with you won't bleed you any songs or dances for the tapestries of stars to remember you by; won't swallow my emotions into void to better them into something more i'll explode into the tails of a thousand novas burn you on the mouth of every star drive straight through the birds of you scattering you into the wind, and just when you think it can't get any worse i'll cut the ribbons from your back let you fall from your puppet throne in a world where you've never had to make yourself any decisions " veiled virtuoso subtly laced with vitriol of dark obsidian nights without star and moon cold veins of midnight fingers those are the means to which you maim my heart so i've decided to break open the catacombs of my rage, let the kindness fall into disrepair for a moment so you'll never mistake it for weakness again become the lioness you never took me for roar leos fury until the claws and fangs of my words reach you and you submit your meaning for all this nonsense to my inquiring mind. - linda m. crate
