Divine

Divine

A Poem by ...

He was the darkness
And it was all he believed he could be
She was a goddess
Fallen and forgotten
Her divinity lost to her
Upon twilight they encountered
Tentatively
Discovered in each other
What they lacked in themselves
And in the instant she touched him
He splintered
Shattered into a million shards of light
The colours exploded
A spectrum he never knew existed
And forthwith she bound his soul to hers
And made him something more
She became the core of his existence
She harnessed the darkness
And he was hers to determine
As she became whAt she was fated
He knew that she was his
For her
And the light that existed between them
He would sunder the foundations
That supported the world
Until all that was left
Was the luminescence in which they subsisted
