TransitoryA Poem by ...
Every day I try and recapture
What we were and why But the truth of who we are Is more ensconced than the past I burrow down deep To try and recall it But its lost to me Not buried or shelved But removed without remnant I can catalogue the changes The moments that broke it The pieces numerous and minute Easily carried away over time Until the space it once occupied Is devoid of its host Save for the memory Of what should have remained The actuality of us is this; Sometimes meant to be Is a measured truth And forever is finite Always isn't perpetual And eternity starts and ends Within a single lifetime We try and hold on But sometimes we need to be strong enough To just let go © 2017 ...Reviews
