Anyone Else

I wrote this poem for some of my closest friends who are currently in a relationship. I hope they stay together... ^^'

"I guess you couls say i have given you my heart"

was what he said as he looked into her eyes

"well, i'd rather have your heart than deal with sorrow"

she smiled through her innocent reply

they stood there, the rain that dampened their skin

arms around arms, and eyes lost in the fate of destiny

he smiled, she smiled, they were finally together

"nothing i have ever dreamed of could have been better."

"I'll love you better than i ever dreamed"

"too late my love, i've dreamed it all, every beautiful dream i hope never falls"

a boy and a girl

who both wanted something so amazing

amazing as love, an eternal happiness

but who ever thought that such great things

would be so close to them, so close to fate?

she felt nothing better than the way his arms were around her

the way his skin felt under her fingers

warming, loving, the gentle sensation

he was most everything she ever imagined

the smiles of pure and true happiness

she would rather it be him than anyone else

For what could she do if shedidn't have him?

how would she dream so many sweet dreams?

in his eyes she knew she belonged

a place she had searched for since she was little...

he felt nothing sweeter than how perfect her lips fit against his

the way her voice sounded when she laughed

melodious, beautiful, wonderful sound

she was everything he ever imagined

the sparkle in her eyes, eyes of indescribable beauty

he would rather it be her than anyone else

for what would he do if he didn't have her?

the boy had never dreamed such wonderful dreams

in her eyes he knew he belonged

a place he had always wanted to be

both of them together forever

like the stars in the diamond sky

imagination unfolding...

because who else?

this poem reminds me of the song "anyone else but you" by moldy peaches , mostly because of the title, haha. but its very sweet. good write :)
