The Dawn

The Dawn

A Poem by Raven Pegasus

In the early lavender hue
Of early dawn,
Before the beginning
Of each day
I sit and listen
To the sweet robin's tune.

In the early moments
Before light and dark
Change the skies for
This darling day
I know moments
Of quiet peace,
Blessed silence.

In the early shades
Of morning's hues
I send out a blessing
As I shake off the
Shadows of night dreams.
Such beauty surrounds me.

In the early glow before
The sun's awesome rays
I wonder what kind of
Day this will be
What kinds of chaos
Awaits this passionate heart.

In the early mist of morning's
Lavender lights and hues
I send out a prayer
Of well being and light
For the hearts that
Are hurting, lonely, and scared.

In the early morning
I sit and as I listen
To the robin's first tunes
I know peace and solitude
In a world of harshness
There is quiet in the dawn.

Just lovely. It is a gentle description of a mystical time of day.
