In the Dark Garden of My Mind

In the Dark Garden of My Mind

A Poem by C.L. Wilson

I stand in my garden
Of black roses
Surrounded by statues
Of myself in different poses

In one I stand in joy
In one I bend in sorrow
In one I scream in anger
In one I lay in agony

The soil is littered
With the bones
Of all those who
Spawned my groans

The sky above is black
With no moon to shine
Only red lightning
Lights this world of mine

I am the care taker
Of this forsaken oasis
She is the flower
Which is this garden’s basis

She has the thorns
That cut the deepest
And yet her pedals
Are the cheapest

Oh forever now as it is
Forever now as it is not
This garden remains
In my mind to rot

I agree with Sarah.
Absolutely amazing to the point that it's not fair.
Your imagery is perfection here.
Well done.

Great imagery I can't decide which part I like the best, though I'd have to say I REALLY like the first part as well as the second to last part ... awesome
