The Icy Rose Blooms in December of North

The Icy Rose Blooms in December of North

A Poem by C.L. Wilson
"

I wrote this for the Page Masters challenge 10, but I was wanting to write this one anyway so it worked out.

"

Icy rose blooms in December of the North
Its petals, I will never pluck in the South
For winter
Is more like a soaked weed down here

But I see pictures, I watch the news
I have dreams of crystal dews
Wake up
And see only streams cover the window

I hear in Wisconsin, snow is two inches deep
I walk outside and step in two inches of mud
Curse the rain

I’d take four blizzards before a day more of rain
