My Ex Who I have Forgotten

My Ex Who I have Forgotten

A Poem by C.L. Wilson
"

Another poem which I wrote after reading an american poet. I can't remeber who it was but I remember one of her poems was about a woman whose lover just died.

"

Did I dream of you?

Did you truly bubble to the top of my unconciousness

once more?

You who I cast out?

How did you survive when I had no thought of you

since than?

Did you place your curse?

Does any love for you still cling on to the edge

of my thoughts?

Why can I not lose you?

Are you so much like a stray and I like a

feeding hand?

GOD HELP ME IF SO!

Bad memories often stain the soul indelibly. We walk off thinking we are finally clean, only to find that the stain can never be removed.

Well said poet ... well said.

Good job, C.L.! This poem captures the essence of the confusion wrought by a lost love, even though you purposely lost her. Sometimes that love clings on stubbornly, unwilling to simply go away. Nice Work!
