In her prayers

In her prayers

A Poem by copperconan

she calls grandpa in the morning saying don’t forget the chips,

we’ll have some fun at day care, please don’t forget the list,

he says don’t worry little darling, you know I’m always there,

I’ve got your list, and tater chips hey I’ll bring your teddy bear,

in her prayers at evening, she says he’s always there for me,

there’s something else dear Jesus he helped me learn to read,

she calls grandpa in the afternoon, saying let’s go to the creek

you can get a real good tan, since your off work this week

he says don’t worry little darling, I’ve already packed the car,

you seem to have some magic, you know I’m not that far,

in her prayers at evening , she say’s thank you for this man

he opened up my eyes for me, and showed me I could stand,

she calls grandpa in the evening , saying thank you for today

and if I have a bad dream , can I call you right away

he says nothing to be scared of, just close your eyes and pray

ask the one up above, to drive those dreams away.

In her prayers one evening, she just couldn’t concentrate

she had to call her grandpa, something couldn’t wait

a midnight call to grandpa, but the doctor takes the phone,

saying we did the best we could, but he’s left you all alone

don’t worry little darling , there's a place prepared for him

he will have a crown in heaven, for you’ve been his special gem .......

In her prayers at evening

she says he’s always there for me,

is there a place in heaven

where we can always be,

IN HER PRAYERS AT EVENING

SHE WHISPERS A QUIET HYMN

SILENTLY A LONELY TEAR

FINDS A WAY TO SAY AMEN..
