Second chanceA Poem by copperconanthe final turn in life
Two hours before an ice storm a dog thrown out in the cold his only crime comitted he had grown so very old
Many years at his master's feet just to end one dreadful day his master turned to demon and took him far away
Fate sometimes is generous it takes us by the hand a second chance is offered by one who can understand
Seemed his days were over he was laying down to die but fate would deal another chance as an old man traveled by
The old man had no family just a cabin and chevy truck a shining tear on his wrinkled cheek as he picked the old dog up
Fate sometimes is generous it takes us by the hand a second chance is offered by one who can understand © 2009 copperconanAuthor's Note
