Solitude

Solitude

A Poem by Rashmi Kulal

Eridanus of existence,

a gluttonous black hole,

mistaken reticence,

a deep, distressed soul.

Untrodden road,

shrubbery overgrown,

ascetic abode,

nature forlorn.

Corpses, rotten,

stars, depleted,

history, forgotten,

insane, deluded.

A thinker's priceless thought,

a serene symphony,

in loneliness, it is sought,

found in divine harmony.

Note: Eridanus, here, refers to the 'Eridanus supervoid', an area of the universe totally devoid of galaxies.
