Waste it on...

Waste it on...

A Poem by Rapterj
"

And the long forgotten

"

Its a sinful passion

Of the truthful place

A dated smile

Without any praise

Its that tainted picture

That haunts my past

Your face on empty

That just won't last

So we'll waste it on

The passion or the floor

So we'll waste it on

To change a little more

The blue arc above us

Beneath a crimson sky

The shots are deadly

But we're standing by

Our sideways -

And our misplace

Our breakaways

And our disgrace

So we waste it on

Wasnt' one enough

And we waste it on

Who we once had loved

AND WE'LL WASTE IT ON

THE PHOTOS WE SHARE

YOU'LL WASTE IT ON

LIKE I REAL-LY CARE...

She sits in photos.

I think she might have changed

She sits in those photos

She'll never be the same

I've changed so slighty

My future's for the best

Forgotten moments

I'm glad that I forget

My past is best behind me

In a twist of my secret

I guess I made this promise

When she left me way back when

I guess I saved myself

From what it could have been...

So we'll waste it on...

What we have done...

We waste it on...

What we've become...

AND SHE WASTES IT ON

A LOVER FOR A MEAL

SHE WASTED IT ALL

TO SEE HOW SHE WOULD FEEL...

AND ITS JUST THE SAME

WITH ANYONE

A PHOTO FOR A HEARTBREAK

PRESENTS FOR A GRAVE

Photos for our mistakes

And a past we can not save...

Author's Note

Rapterj
Once again, I seem to have delved into a dark realm of sorts. This one - well - lets just say it was inspired by an old fling of mine. One who contacted me recently and made me realize how fortunate i was to be away from her. Harsh I know, but reality, baby - it's a mother-fuckin' bitch. (My god, that's pretty "out there" for me to say. But I s'pose that's worth the 10 years of pent up anger I have for this girl.)

Your authors note is more shocking than your dark relm in the poem my friend, that is a long time to carry such anger. I think you dealt with the situation like a gentleman in the poem, shouting and all. Smiling at you, Tai, always better out than in!
