Beauty Queen

Beauty Queen

A Poem by Rapterj
"

The desperation

"

Come - to me

In a whisper or a prayer

Fall - to me

And erase all that was there

She's just so lonely

On her own

She just so pretty

And alone

And I'll just sit by

While the days

They fade - away

Just for once

Hear what I say

Just for once

But I'll walk away

...cuz I'm

So afraid...

Lay - down

You're heart for me

And stand - up

For me to see

She's just so pretty

Over there

She's just so lonely

Unaware

...of all my love

But I stand - aside

Afraid of - what I've become...

HEY THERE!

BEAUTY QUEEN!

I HOPE YOU KNOW

HOW YOU HAUNT MY DREAMS!

But my past

Will keep me at my knees

I'm just -

SO AFRAID OF LOVE...

Can you teach me?

Can you show me?

Can you see me?

Can you hold me?

Is it

Just so untrue?

For me

To want someone like you?

HEY THERE!

BEAUTY QUEEN!

IT'S OH SO TRUE

THAT YOU HAUNT MY DREAMS!

And my past

Keeps me on - MY KNEES!

SHE'S JUST SO PRETTY

ON HER OWN!

SHE'S JUST SO LOVELY

AND ALONE!

BUT I

AM TOO AFRAID TO SPEAK!

BUT I

KNOW HOW MUCH SHE MEANS!

I'm just lonely

On my own...

I'm just so desperate

And alone...

HEY THERE!

BEAUTY QUEEN!

SEE ME?

ON MY KNEES!

HEY THERE!

BEAUTY QUEEN!

I'M CALLING

THROUGH A CROWD OF SCREAMS!

Hey there,

Beauty Queen

I hope...

You know...

...What you mean to me...

Wow! I really like this RJ! Yes chipper indeed, a little light relief from the maddening crowd, much appreciated. letting out the true romantic in your soul is good for us all....I feel for you because I know. LLB

it looks like this was written like a song. which it flowed and moved really well that way. usually i dont like lengthy poems but this wasn't redundent like the usual lengthy poem. every stanza was different. i give you kudos for that
