Waging writ.

Waging writ.

A Poem by Rapterj
"

And the sanctity of war...

"

When our friends fall down

We feel the pain inside

When the rich wage war

Its the poor who die

-

It's not the typical way

That you usually see

With the rules laid out

And the blind to lead

Its the usual path

Of a typically seed

With some rules of war

That fit their greed

Tell us to fight our lives

When our lives are done

For an earth of scars

And a setting sun

They've never lived their lives

For a typical day

Spared a wish or two

For a beautiful day

Inside

Inside

My mind

Inside...

They think they know

What the world should need

With their lofty roles

In a life of greed

It takes a father's son

To inherit the moon,

But an honest man

To fight for food

It takes the whimsical place

Of a man who robs

To destroy a land

In the name of God

With war

Inside

My mind

Our writ

Where - we - die

Since when we knew

Its a man to say

To who will die

Or live today?

Since when we knew

12 men could say

That a man should die

In a painful way

Since when we knew

It took a God to say

That man has failed

And we're all to blame

Since when we knew

Its not the usual way

Its so fucked up

But it stays the same...

Its a fear of change

And a change of heart

How we sacrifice

For a better start

Its the dying breed

Of an empty pit

With their rules of war

On a Sacred Script

Its a casual call

To the every man

Its a usualy plea

To the playing band

Just play me one more song

To sing my life

Just one more song

And you'll get it right

With the time so slow

You play it all through the night

With time so slow I know you'll get it right

And with their rules of war

We'll march to fight

The beggars and pleaders

Without the rights

And with their pietous gaze

We march in the night

To save the day

For what they say is right

AND TIME'S SO SLOW

AS YOU'RE FALLING DOWN,

TO THE RAP OF THE BULLETS
AND THE CANON'S SOUND!

AND TIME'S SO SLOW

AS YOU END YOUR LIFE

TO THE WHEELS OF THE TANK

BLASTING WHAT IS RIGHT!

AND I HOPE YOU KNOW

THAT WHAT I DO

IS AGAINST ALL RULES

AND ALL FOR YOU!

AND I HOPE YOU SEE

WHAT I HAVE DONE

TO TAKE THOSE RULES

WITH THEIR OWN DAMN GUN!

I HOPE YOU KNOW

THE SETTING SIGHT

OF THE PRICE I PAID

FOR WHAT IS RIGHT...

Its not the place

Its not the time

With a rope to my neck

And no tears to cry

I, for one,

Am one to say

We needed light

More that day

AND I FOR ONE

WOULD BEG TO SCREAM

THAT WE NEED OUR LOVE

THAN THAT BUILDING!

WITH YOUR RULES OF WAR

AND YOUR WAR ON LOVE

WITH YOUR HATRED OF MAN

FOR A GOD UP ABOVE

WITH YOUR PLEADING GAZE

OF THE CASUAL CALM

OVER THE INHERITED MOON

FOR THIS ONE LAST SONG!

You know

Inside

These rules

I'd rather die

You know

Right here

This place

I'LL BURN IN FEAR!

And as the shots rang through

And the noose fell tight

In very last moments

At the end of my life

When the darkness fell

From your pietous gaze

THE PEOPLE SWELLED

IN REVOLTING RAGE!
