I am a floorboard that creaksA Poem by rannon96I genuinely don't even have one anymore.I am a
floorboard that creaks, I am the
unmixed cement and the carpet
that leaks I am money that
was lent. I don’t hold ceiling
beams because my arms
they tire. as pointless are
my dreams as the paper in
the fire. A camel without
a spine still a load on
its back, but I need to appear
fine even though I’m
gonna crack. A lifeboat with
a leak and a message
unsent. I’m just
feeling weak and I don’t know
where I went. © 2019 rannon96 |
