Suffering

I see you suffering

In pain, in discomfort,

And I cannot take it away

From you.

I am distressed, but I cannot show it

Before you.

You have the courage to bear the pain

And never want sympathy.

But I know you are going through

Both physical and mental agony.

I look for things which I could do

To make you feel better.

I only wish I could take away from you

Your sufferings altogether.

First of all, I can see your poetry mature day by day, every piece you write is better than the last one. Second of all, Is this written from your your experience? Then it must have been difficult to pen down the emotions. And lastly I love that you have started writing in free verse instead of rhyming, it gives the poem an instant depth and maturity.
