Angel

Angel

A Poem by Rifatt Mir
"

Times when we face monsters,we drown in our sadness hoping to disappear from the world but the hope that better days are to come keep us going.Cheers.

"
O’ sweet angel , won’t you come now ?
I slid deeper into shallow waters this time
I loved a monster while I was in pieces,
My heart must have stopped breathing by now.
I have been gifted a thousand years of pain.
O’sweet angel, won’t you sing me lullaby ?

Or

Will you come a little later than a thousand years,
When i am swimming through oceans,
And heart beats faster
Into pristine clear waters.
Perhaps wanting to kiss my smiling lips
before you sing me lullaby to sleep.
My sweet angel, promise you would come
I will wait for you until then.

The ending is better. The first one was slightly juvenile.

I feel like the ending is a little wanting..but I really love this. I would add this to my favorites, if I were not at work right now.

A wonderful poem dear Riatt.
"O’sweet angel ,promise you would come,
I would wait too"
I liked the above lines and we do need angels. To keep us safe. Thank you dear poet for sharing the amazing poetry. I did enjoy.
