Lonely bride

Lonely bride

A Poem by Rifatt Mir
"

Dedicated to all those who reject despair ,who wait in peaceful restlessness for their

"
Prettiest one tonight,
In a red satin silk gown,
Gazing in mirror for one last time,
Grooming Deweyed bride,
To gracefully walk down the aisle,
To meet love,
The day of her dreams.

Repeating to herself,I do ,I do,I do
The vows for evermore love to grow
I do take my heart falling into an intimacy,
Chasing you wherever you go.
Your embrace,my freedom
Your touch,Entirety.
Your happiness,comfort.
Dearest!Cry with you,cry for you.

Must be not far,
Women! Songs in his praise.
Flowers in his way,
Riding on a white horse,
as he enters the lawn.
Mamma!welcome my Eveningstar .
Celebration for the sake of love.
Fireworks, music and cheers.
Mamma!Welcome my Eveningstar.

"Repack the dream day back into dream,
It's another yesterday,
All over again,
From Dawn to the dusk.
Mustn't wait anymore.
Take off this ring, take off high heel,
Cry,if you must, but take off this veil.
Bid off this day,
For an another day"

Shhh!If not today,
Some other way,
To take me away with all the love.
Mamma!I must stand on the front door.
Or look down the alley, all the night.
Rush to the door when he comes,
Be a lonely Bride
Until then.

A powerful and worthwhile story told in the poetry dear Rifatt. It is sad how sweet days can turn to bitter days. You allowed the reader to feel and understand the words. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
