To Not Die

To Not Die

A Poem by Rifatt Mir

Thrumming on the Roof,
Shower from above the heaven.
Drip Drop,
Murmuring the moist pearls,"Rest if you must."
Tick Tock ,
Alarms the clock,"lazy head!Get up for the best"
But
Drip Drop,Drip
Rain goes on.
Tick Tock, tick
Life's a marathon.

Tick Tock Tick Tock,
Striking the ears,
Loud,louder,Strong.
Tick Tock Tick
Of wise & Hero's,
Of all those won,
The one open secret they all behold,
Of "Time & Tide waits for none."
Race against time,
You must win,
To survive,
To live,
&
To not die of
"Dreams"

Drip Drop Drip Drop,
Drumming on the window,
Close,Closer,close.
Drip Drop Drip,
Sometimes you let go,
All of the "let go's & hold on's".
Wrap up in a Blanket,
All of you, nothing more than you.
Lost in the happy dreams,
Escape the life,
For a while.
To survive,
To live,
&
To not die of
"Wishes"
