Nothing I Own

Nothing I Own

A Poem by Rifatt Mir

As the morning peeks in my window
Opens the small & puffy eyes,
slept last night crying.
I wake up for another day
To tore the pages of yesterday.
And call a hope to come to me.
Hope,i believe settles everything.
But O hope!Find me please.

I pick up the new book,
to write a new story of me.
Forget the fear of thunderstorm
& I run to dance in the rain.
Open my arms,close my eyes
To feel every bit of the drop.
Yet to dance and there i find,
my new book in oozy mud.

The day wears night,
all close eyes and dream.
I wrap the truths with secrets.
Beneath the pillow,they are safe.
I tell 'me' tales of me,
happy story,happy theme.
To console my soul
and sleep in peace.

Lord!Your earth has so much for all.
They celebrate and laugh,
They dream and achieve.
Delightful is this world
& blessed are all.
Thorns underneath my feat
Haze up on the sky.
Can't figure out y?
In this world of wonders,
joy,peace,dreams & colours.
Everything I love
and nothing I own.

Life can be difficult. We must seek the good in the mess. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
