Shaky HandsA Poem by Randy Scott IIA poem I wrote after being hospitalized and diagnosed with rapid cycling Bipolar Disorder. Part One of a series of work I wrote. Originally titled "Bipolar Chronicles Part I".
Got a knack for finding pieces
Shattered by circumstance I fancy myself a fixer But I've been damned With shaking hands They all fall to bits They all fall to bits It works in turn Make me miss you So I can't wait Just to kiss you Vying And pushing Vying Then pushing I'm so here today Gone in an hour What makes me think this way? I've got a pill that Makes me not feel Why do I try to drink it Away? Vying And pushing Vying Then pushing I used to believe Behind the stars There was a guide Then I grew up and Stopped looking at the sky Oh God, am I going to be like this forever? Please don't make me be like this forever © 2013 Randy Scott II |
