Selecting The Right Worktop Supplier

Selecting The Right Worktop Supplier

A Story by Randy Jones

What kind of worktop you choose for your kitchen depends largely on three things:

a.      Your budget

b.      Usability of the worktop, and

c.       Your personal tastes and preferences

According to these three things you can select or finalise the material, colour and texture of your kitchen worktop. However, after selecting the material you would have to find a supplier who supplies the worktops you like in your city. To find the right supplier for your worktop requirements, analyse the prospective candidates on these points:

  1. Communication- The first step most of the people take to weed out the unwanted, lousy suppliers from their first drafted list is by dropping them an enquiry mail. You can ask up anything in this; from the rates of the materials to whether or not the supplier delivers in your area. Depending on the promptness of their reply, tone of mail and information contained, it gets a little easy to shortlist suppliers.
  2. Samples- Whether free or refundable after you return them, it is always great to ask for samples. You can easily find a lot of suppliers that provide samples for the worktops they deal in. Having samples makes your worktop selection easier and also lets you check the final delivered product with the reference sample you have.
  3. Quotations- Ask for price quotations from at least 3-4 suppliers and compare factors like services, material quality, costs etc to determine the right supplier.
  4. Experience- It is always good to hire someone with more considerable experience in their field than someone who has just entered the market. This way you can take help from reviews and testimonials of their past customers and decide accordingly.
  5. Variety- An established granite supplier would make sure they have a variety of colours and patterns in their granite factory. If you see a man trying to sell you worktop who only has a couple of options in their inventory with limited supply, be cautious.
  6. Reputation- Always look out for client reviews and testimonials on the internet if the supplier has a website (which most of the good ones do usually have).  This way you can get correct information reviews of the material and customer services offered by the supplier from their real customers.

All these factors should be studied very closely and with detail if you wish to deal with a reliable and reputable supplier in Birmingham of worktops whether granite or quartz. Good luck!
