A Poem by randi

her smile is bright

eyes dark as mahogany

she is confident

strong

flirtatious

deceiving

I kept myself close

thinking she would stay closer

before I knew it

she slipped out of my hands

dripping like water

into a pool of darkness

a place that I cannot return

her color fades fast

sinking deep

her spirit is gone

and so is mine
