Squashed Love

This is not a poem, just a two-liner that I wrote for a contest. "Poem" was the best option to chose among the others!

Perpetually intrigued by how far we insatiable humans go to squash love for money and power.

It is quite a stunning this isn't it? I am continually stunned how large industries cripple common people. The American banking crisis was an example of that. Then you have the disappearance of workers unions. Not only that, but there are other horrible cases of abuse that fill news-feeds these days. It is quite disillusioning to say the least.

Yes, it seems sometimes that love is a secondary desire relative to greed. Perhaps this is because many treat love as an aspect of greed, i.e., love is a possession, not a state of sharing and giving.
