The Fire of Our Love

The Fire of Our Love

A Poem by Ramya
"

I wrote this poem when I missed someone whom I held so very dear.

"
I miss you in all the ways I could,
Can't stop the yearning in my heart.
If I try to stop it all,
I go mad and lose my guard.

Love is burning for you,
Within me.
But you shed tons of ice,
To put every flame out.
Know that your tons don't do a thing to me,
For my love is now a blaze, extreme.

So what is it that you are going to do?
Watch me rise up in flames?

Why is it that you are heartless?
Boy, love is not a game.

Slight me,
Don't call me,
Don't speak to me at all.

Is this what you do?
To me who gave you all.

Yes I was bad, I was mad,
I was rude and I raised my voice.
But you were the one and only one darling,
With whom I could show it all.

Now you know that I have changed for good,
Mellowed and less bad, less mad,
Why is it that you are now going bad?
And making our lives so sad.

I feel the love,
Yet I feel the pain,
Why do you keep making my days go sour?
Tell me, how is it that you are what you are?
For it is so not you at all.

I just can't stop yearning for you,
I am on fire,
I am on fire,
I am on fire of love.

It can only be doused by the fire,
The fire of your love.

"Hell hath no fury like a woman whose love is scorned" at least I think that's how the old quote goes. From reading this, it's obvious you are one extremely passionate woman. Any woman that has a passion like fire is able to love a man as if he was God . . . but God help him if he turns against her. Then he'll be safer in Hell than in her company.
Remind me never to cross you. :)

That was a very passionate and warm piece of writing. The structure of it was also very well maintained throughout the entire poem.
Very intriguing, I must admit.

My favorite line " I miss you in all the ways I could"...
I feel your pain and waiting ..
When we have best things with us,we just ignore it..
after losing it we realize then it is too late:(
If the person still ignores you after so many meetings, calls and messages..
I should say leave it!!! Move On in life..
Its hard to do..but we have no other option..
Your writing has true feelings so keep writing:)

Ah, unrequited love is so common and so tragic. What is one to do? Actually, there is nothing that can be done. It is a mismatch, and unhappy semi-coupling in which only one participates. One must recognize this and move one and seek a more even matching. No matching as probably perfect, but many are close enough to be amazing.

Very best regards,

Rick

Heartfelt words of regret, remorse and sadness for what once was, beautifully penned.
