Insignificant

Insignificant

A Poem by Raksha Rajkumar
"

Pain within. connecting to the feeling

"
As thin as a whisper of paper,
Or a drop lost in ocean’s embrace,
As light as a feather’s caress,
Or a grain in the vastness of sand.

A morsel of sustenance
In a cavernous vessel,
It dreams of the shrinking confines,
Yearning to vanish away.

Ever shrinking, ever fading,
Hoping for sweet dissolution,
But the vessel stands resolute,
Trapping decay in its grasp.

A soul, so minuscule,
In the boundless expanse of a frame,
Longing to be nothing,
To dissolve in the endless unknown.

Nicely crafted and richly expressive.

Reminds me of Freud's descriptions of "oceanic nothingness" - something you could look into, if interested. Thank you for sharing and I hope to read more.
