Failure

Failure

A Poem by Lost
"

Pressure from school resulting in anxiety and loss of self.

"

She felt like a failure.

There was nothing more frightening then getting a bad mark to her.

She wanted to change herself, completely.

To leave not a trace of her true self that she was oh so ashamed of.

She didnt feel like she was good at anything, whether it was making and keeping friends, doing good in school or meeting up to her parents expections and therefore she felt useless.

Every time she fell and tried to get back up, she felt something pulling her leg down, as if not allowing her to get back on her feet and soon, soon, she found comfort in not trying, in failure because thats all she'd ever known.

She didnt know how to get back up either and it felt like she was screaming for help but no one could hear her.

Often, she'd dream of success but it felt so far away to her, like a star, no matter how close to it you go, you'll never be able to touch it.

And so, she shut herself out from the world, forced herself not to ask for help or show her weaknessess and kept all the sadness buried inside her.
