Tentacles - The Anorexia

Tentacles - The Anorexia

A Poem by Raj Narayan

Caught in confusion, what to look like.
This is more than looking fit.
Burning all that I hate to have,
and burning myself.

It is a maze I am caught in,
I feel I am eating too much!
though I look OK for everyone,
only me find myself too thick.

So I go pale and am faintly happy,
that I have clothes that are smaller and fit.
I look around with eyes having strain,
and stomach that burns in pain.

Everyone thinks I am treatable.
I add medicines to my diet.
All is in the mind that rells me "no",
until I am assured there's an alarm on the go.
