Mine of Noble Acts

Mine of Noble Acts

A Poem by Raj Sahu
"

For a person who is always ready to serve others.

"

Bring your love and care
To those, whole-heartedly, searching for them.
It would be a boon,
to receive your love so soon,
as they were despondent in their despair,
seeking a lovely, lovely heart,
which is your splendid part.

They seek the scent of the flowers,
Poor, poor they! unaware of the greatest mine,
of endless affection and fragrance
that would never run out
but would eternally brightly shine,
leaving a lasting strong remembrance
to everyone- a gentleman or lout.

To live for others is an elegant thought,
To lend your noble hand to the impoverished,
To share your meal with a destitute boy,
To give your love to a crooked lady.
All these rich beauties gathered by whom?
Whose name would witness the day of doom?
Such noble natures can behold a few,
But I find one in you.

Your poem addresses a topic that is not very common here in the USA. I have been a person who loves to volunteer all my life & I think others should do it if they are able. It is a way to GET as much as you GIVE. The best part of your poem are lines 2,3,4 of the last verse . . . becuz here you are getting more into the specifics. Your writing is grand, but it can tend to be general. Messages always come alive when you get down to the detailed level as you start to do in the lines I mentioned. All in all, good work to be honoring those who give of themselves (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

A very gentle invitation to help those who need us. Great job!

A wonderful poem. I think it hurt the rythm a little to have varying numbers of syllables in your couplets but the overall effect is still very charming.

Thank you for sending me a read request to such a wonderful piece of writing. It reminded me of a person I knew who had a mine of noble acts but now when I look back, I doubt whether all of those were even genuine or just for show off (I saw a drastic change in that person)!

I do believe in karma Raj.

I love the above lines. A great lady told me often, "What you give without the need of reward will open heaven gates for you once day." Powerful and needed words shared.

Thank you!
The poet seems to be describing a saint in this one. There are many indeed who could benefit from the attention of such a person.
