Yours Merry Day

Yours Merry Day

A Poem by Raj Sahu
"

This is a wish for the birthday of a special one of poet.

"

And here the day comes,
Full of joy and mirth.
Such events betimes rare,
When legends takes birth.

Here this meek poet,
Mere with his paper and pen;
Can bestow blissful blessings,
Only to the image he ken.

O God! Shower your drops
Of boons and benefactions.
Pour down your gifts in his life
And lave him with your protection.'

Enjoy your day, my mate;
And leave no stone unturned-
To achieve an astounding aim
For which you are too concerned.

I don't know many poets who achieve "legend" status. Few are those who are even known in their own lifetimes. So many like John Donne and Emily Dickinson are only known after their deaths. I doubt there are many people who could even name two poet laureates of the United States like Richard Wilbur who just passed away just this October at the age of 96. But I do hope your friend reads this touching honor and tribute.

He's not a legend of poetry, but the legend of my heart. Thank you for your words!

Birthday is not only the day when you escape from your mother's womb but the day too when you cry and others laugh.
Now, about your work, It I'd truly a devoted work to your friend on his birthday. The prayers, the love and affection you put in your poem are something which will make your friend boast of you. The best thing I like the flow of rhymes and the fluency during reading. Looking for more from you.

Thank you. Yes you can.
O God! Shower your drops
Of boons and benefactions.
Pour down your gifts in his life
And lave him with your protection.

I like this prayer in particular, which you made for your friend. It is very hard to find such good friends who prays profoundly for you. The idea to present a poem on birthday is none less than a present itself. Really great! Thank you for sharing such a beautiful poem.

Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
I love these! The colored font was really entertaining too! For the poem itself, it was really classical. Glad I checked you out!
