A Dreadful Sight

A Dreadful Sight

A Poem by Raj Sahu
"

This poems deals with adverse effects of nature.

"

O Flood! O Flood! Stop your course,
Where are you going with such a force?
Are you annoyed by the deeds of man?
Are you going to hit and slain?

Yes, yes my dear poet; you understand
The feelings of the water and the land
But your brethren might forget
The adverse effects that nature beget.

Calm down, Calm down, O massive Wave!
Isn't there's a way to save?
The entire mankind will vanish
By your wrath, they will banish.

The time has gone my dear poet,
Just wait and watch the dreadful sight.

The entire story made me to realise that humans are on the verge of extinction. They should abate their actions which is harmful for the purity of nature. You presented a serious issue in an attractive way, which I liked most. Thank you for sharing such a deep poem.

Nature should need to be conserved but human greed is destroying it.
Your work is so positive that its vibes is smearing all around. The conversation between the poet and inundation is a beautiful way to express the emotion. The warning in last two lines is threatening. Looking for more of your works.
