GLOW-WORM

GLOW-WORM

A Poem by Athul Raj

Tell me a jest, to wear a happy smile
Benighted, with deep-rooted pains
Chock-ful of deep-seated sorrows
'O' little glow-worm - tell me thy secret

Goo, gone gosling, goner,
go to pieces, hapless soul.
In an ivory tower, away from home
'o' little glow-worm - tell him thy secret

Shivering, whey-faced,
whimpering little orphan
Nothing to eat and drink
Wishing upon a star to be noticed
'o' little glow-worm tell her thy secret

i admire your ability to seem playful with words, in such a serious poem.
