Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional

Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional

A Poem by Rajesh Vaya

Growing up, in essence
is losing our innocence
Oh, it is such nonsense
Thats when life becomes a mess..

As a baby had a character of an angel,
playful, faithful and grateful
luckily met many more of me at school
seeing chocolates we start to drool
ahh, life was so coool!

Eager to learn,
did not want to earn,
it was all about fun!
parents start to raise concern
unaware of the fact that this day will not return..

loaded with responsibilities,
had to let go of all the curiosities
started to focus on my duties
years pass by switching different companies
started to take liabilities,
and made few enemies,
life was all about beneficiaries, dependencies, communities and deliveries
dream of visiting all the countries and cities " empties
saw my baby drool on chocolates, cookies and brownies
brought back some happy memories
time flew and age nearing eighties,
before you know it.. people construct your cemeteries!

Saying with experience
You owe it to your very existence
Dream big with confidence
Run behind excellence
and make a huge difference!
Hence,
In essence, don’t lose your innocence
