![]() PhotosynthesisA Poem by daydreamer![]() This poem is dedicated to each and every plant that looses its life every minute in our planet.![]() Alien rays from the horizon denude The Dark womb in which we brood Ruffling virgin feathers we bloom Reddish green leaflets sprawl Soft tender tendrils sprout Like a fairy weaving her spell Spring, our mother, our deity She pours magical potion Elixir of sacred life Invoking prurient feelings We spring back to life Consuming all toxic gases Prudently we breathe back Oxygen, the goddess of life, Nullifying the green house effect She embraces us with warmth Gently caressing with love Through the silver clouds We shield the crown of Mother Earth The Ozone layer, like dark knight We stand our ground for peace Centuries have passed by Inhabiting this heavenly abode God designed us with providence Humans conquered this planet Sawing our roots our life From the umbilicus of our mother Paradise lost; we succumb Millions and trillions of us Yet! Few of us still survive Among growing concrete jungle Our mother wails silently Torn, bloody and feverish Helpless amongst her Own ruthless children We pacify her holding ground How long the ecosystem survives? Lifeline to the veins of this planet Humans trapped in the shell of greed Yet! To date we stand Synthesing food and fodder From the alien lights... Sobbing throbbing pulsating With pain and agony We the dark knights the only hope Of the future We still manage to survive Through plain sacrifice © 2011 daydreamerAuthor's Note
