My Goddess Venus

My Goddess Venus

A Poem by daydreamer
"

This is a tale of one sided but sensitive love story

"

At the break of the dawn

The earth was about to yawn

Among the lush flowers in my lawn

A sweet song was blooming

Musical notes were grooming

Tall golden oaks were swaying

Goddess Venus descended!

Heartbeats wildly fluttered

Each breath shuddered

Smile on her face mesmerising

Dark brown eyes tantalizing

Rose on her lips fantasizing

She greeted with a sweet hello

Enough to light up a dormant tale

Though  wasn’t of Romeo and Juliet’s scale.

Nightingales sang, Swan’s danced

Time was ripe to rip open feelings

Her words flew my brains to ceiling.

“Dear I am getting married”

Shook my body and soul torrid

Goddess Venus ascended!

Goddess are meant to be

In the heavens,

 Not among the ravens!

My Goddess Venus ascended

Leaving behind pool of tears

But, a dream to last for years.

Lyrical and charming. Although the end was sad, I felt the happiness of falling in love. Such a sweet poem! I loved it!
