DECEPTION

An act which can ravage our soul

A feeling hard to bear

Burns my soul

With a hallmark ire

 

Trust breached

Faith shaken

Dreams destroyed

 

Abandoned into wasteland

Filled with abjuration, anger and void

I stare deep into vaccum

 

Tears stream down my eyes

Like a bitter concoction

Of blood cooked on hellfire

 

Shallow dark eyes

Still searching for a waft of

Memoirs of romantic yesteryear

 

One query on my lips to heavens

What transpired when I was gone?

Why did you abandon me?

 

In a sea of deep

Dark wretched lonely

Emotion called deception
