JUST TO SAY GOODBYE

 

The world can seize its time,

As the sun rests deep in the sea to say good night,

I will come over a thousand miles, just to say goodbye.

 

Long before night reaches to its dawn,

Long before you say goodbye to the stars,

Long before you play that last song,

Just look for me, I will be there to say goodbye.

 

In-depth of the sea you will find our old memories,

Don’t let them go off your mind,

I will come to take you away for that last walk,

Sand will have our bare feet again, walking together, like old days,

Don’t let the tides go away, I will come to hold you to say goodbye.

 

Let your lips linger for mine,

Let the wind play with your hair till they desire,

Let your feet moving to the music till it dies,

Let yourself swirl in my arms when I kiss to steal your smile,

Let this world close its eyes,

As we melt to cover a thousand miles, just to say goodbye one more time.

Have not been in touch for a few months & this poem expresses how it can feel when a treasured friend from across the seas goes into a period of life that carries him/her into different seas for a while. Here's hoping your holidays are bright & full of love & full of loving contact (despite the virus) & hopefully we can touch each other's lives once again when life calms down for everyone again!
