Lonely hearts

 

Deep within, I look for you,

You look for me,

Our moments are hard to forget,

Yet you look like a stranger to me,

The walk on the shores,

The countless nights underneath the sky,

Those dreams that we saw in each other’s eyes,

Meaning of all those things looks meaningless to me,

In our lonely hearts,

The faces are recognizable yet unknown,

Eyes don’t blink and hearts don’t bleed,

Yet we stay together in a lonely place,

Where I look for you, you look for me.

Raj, I believe you eloquently convey how many individuals feel in a fractured relationship, separated by hardship, trauma, addiction, or some other struggle.
