9 months

It’s about those great 9 months which unfortunately don’t count in our age but yes they are part of our journey to life.....

 

9 months

 

One day I thought why not ask maa,

How she felt when I wasn’t in this world but a part of her heart,

How she felt during those nine months,

What were her feelings when she first felt me inside her womb?

And what were my heartbeats like when she heard them first beating alongside her heart?

 

She smiled and answered me in one word;

It was my REBIRTH, the rebirth of my soul,

I was not aware who is inside me;

Whether it’s a he or a she, but yes I knew I have to care for it.

 

I cared for you without touching you,

I felt your soul as if it’s just me not you,

I dreamt of holding you for long in my arms,

I wished to see you around me smiling all the time.

I touched my womb everyday to feel you grow,

I cried myself when you felt hungry inside me to ask for more.

 

When you first kicked me, I said HI,

You never replied, but I know, you smiled.

Those nights of pain, they are still here in my mind,

Today I’m smiling, talking to you, but believe me that was a tough time.

 

When you first came in this world, I hugged you tight,

You made me cry, you gave a new reason to live my life.

Those nine months today are like a story for me,

But they really changed who I used to be.

 

Today I’m your mother; you are a part of me,

We may be different today, but remember your soul is still a part of me,

You may have forgot to thank me for those nine months,

But I want to thank you for giving me those nine months.

wow very beautiful... very wonderful description.. n only that person can describe it who is very close his mother.. m sure you are.. n the most wonderful part of this poem was "You may have forgot to thank me for those nine months, But I want to thank you for giving me those nine months.".... the pure feelings of a mother..:)

Wow.....atleast someone cared about those nine months journey which a woman faces and its not easy....I really appreciate you writing this for your mother and its beautiful,structure too.......amazing reading this one......I hope you don't mind,its just my suggestion.........in you hugged me tight,don't connect to heart.....since generally baby is in lap of mother or you can have done I hugged you tight........its just a suggestion......the entire poem is too beautiful.......
