lost in the dark

just watched a few heartbreaking videos about bullying. i'm so disappointed and my heart goes to those who have had similar experiences. i've been bullied, but not to such a severe degree. stay strong

there are people who cry

but their tears never show

and there are people who've suffered

but their scars are invisible

there are people who scream

but no one ever hears

there are people who break down

when it's too much to bear

doesn't anybody see,

what this world is coming to?

no one ever listens, pays attention

we're superficial and pretentious

while we trample people beneath our feet

might not even notice until they start to bleed

and we're all just lost in the dark

can't see anything but the shining stars

there are people who are calling for your help, 

but you don't even want to reach out

there are people who have let everything go

just because you didn't take the time of day

there are people who are cutting,

they're hurting themselves because you hurt them first

and there are people whose lives you've changed

you might not have seen it, isn't that sad to know?

don't let what they say control you,

to be perfect, we don't see the scars
