the things that were left unsaid, the things that they thought but never brought up ♥

i have missed many people, many things

but never quite like the way i miss you

i miss the sun in your eyes

and the way you smile and you seem to light up

i miss your arms around me

and how you tell stories about yourself

i miss your voice and your song

the way you sound when you sing me to sleep

and i miss those nights

when we don't talk at all, just hold each other tight

i miss seeing you every day

and every night, as we lie on the roof of my beat up car

i miss stargazing

when we used to wish upon a shooting star as it fell

i miss you

you as a person,

you as a whole

your memories with me cannot be replaced

and i hide them somewhere safe

in my heart

and i miss you too

never met a girl quite like you

i miss the way you'd laugh

when i told you a corny joke

i miss our long, long talks

about nothing in particular, just life

i miss holding your hand

and tracing hearts onto the golden sand

and i miss being able to say

yes, she's mine, and forever she'll stay

i miss lying on the couch

watching a romance comedy

i miss running away

finally, from all my troubles and doubts

i miss you

the way you blushed when i kissed you first

the way you laugh when i hug you from behind

the way i'll never be able to forget you

and as hard as i try

i remember every day
