A Winter CompanionA Poem by AllisonA poem I whipped up before Winter really does fall upon us. Enjoy :) Btw, can you guess what this poem is about?6, 0 One minute. Counting down to a beautiful moment. Time shall stand still for you, my love, And you and your sweet lover May caress the heart of each other for just one while.
A bit of time here, a moment or two there, And it all adds up. You are halfway there, And not a minute to spare. Hints of pleasure escape from your mouth And spread high across your face. The anticipation has enslaved you In this frozen state.
Until the bell chimes. It rings in sweet glory, Like a thousand voices crying out To match your eternal joy, just once.
Before you it lays, it's radiance so bright and dignified That it seems to illuminate Even the darkest corners of your very heart. Now, gather yourself in it's warm embrace And cherish the rich flavor of its aura.
And dare you, I say, to take the first sweet sip That will send you into a world of only the purest joy; Where the falling, glittering flakes that blanket the ground Shall be accompanied by your ever-alluring companion. A companion, which none can replace. A companion holding true, To the very Last Drop © 2010 AllisonAuthor's Note
