FireA Poem by AllisonI was in class one day and kinda scribbled this down on my homework, and after some hard editing, I decided to publish it here.
I stare into its fiery brilliance.
It's scarlet-citrus light reflects in my eyes. The smoke flows up into my nostrils, Slowly setting its own fire in my lungs. Listen to its crackle. Can you hear it? The way it comes wonderfully alive with sound? The taste of the smoke curls up into my mouth, Planting itself on my tongue, sending a soft chill down my spine. And the warmth, it dances on my skin, Giving me an insane sense of serenity. I am overcome by this rich mix of sensations, And my mind goes blank, My body goes limp, And I am left in utter most peace. © 2010 AllisonAuthor's Note
