A Poem by Allison
"

Inspired by Mart Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" speech.

"

I dream of fire and dance

Of people that play and prance.

Together as one,

Divided by none,

I dream of fire and dance.

I dream of blue oceans and skies

Of fish and sweet butterflies.

In a great whirl of rain,

Or and intense wave of pain,

I dream of blue oceans and skies

A great family we are,

As many, not some,

Brought together by more than a trance.

We sing and we love

And play in the sun,

I dream of fire and dance.

I very much like the rhyming, but also the feeling this poem gave me. It was very fantasy-like [for some reason] and very surreal, but the message in this was strong. Great piece
