Needles hurt like lies.

Needles hurt like lies.

A Poem by Laraine Davis

Needle

And

Thread.

So

Cliché.

Like

Birds

And

Bees.

Like

Ignorant

Children.

Like

Knife

And

Skin.

One

Cut.

One

More.

This

Is

The

Last

Time.

I

Promise.

One

More.

Deeper

This

Time.

I

Can’t

Feel

Anymore.

Do

I

Even

Want

To?

No.

This

Pain

Is

Too

Much.

So

Sick

Of

It.

I

Just

Wish

That.

That…

I

Could

Be

Done.

With

This.

With

Everything.

I

Wish

I

Could

Stop.

But

Somehow,

I

Can’t.

Simply

Impossible

Improbable.

Maybe

One

Day

I

Can

Forget.

Forget

Everything.

Everything

That

Ever

Happened

Between

My

Life

And

Yours.

I

Just

Wish

That

We

Could

Both

Forget.

Just

This

Once.

Bear

With

Me.

But

For

Now.

One

More

Cut

Can’t.

Won’t.

Hurt

Will

It?

It

Will.

More

Than

You

Could.

Would.

Ever

Know.

Author's Note

Laraine Davis
I haven't proof read it. Sorry for typos. I didn't proof read on purpose. I wrote this while I was extremely depressed. Tomorrow, I will reread and probably find myself insane. But my personalities drastically change with my moods. So, it was an experiment. You don't have to read. Don't have to like. Why do you think it was listed as journal? Its my own thoughts.
