Teacups

Teacups

A Poem by Rainee Whiting

Teacups

We spun,

in the now, two kids at play.

We spun,

no worry of tomorrow or yesterday.

We spun,

euphorically dizzy in this space.

We spun,

blurring the sadness on our face.

We spun,

escaping in the spin.

We spun,

our laughter carried in the wind.

We spun,

for a moment we were free.

We spun,

there in teacups, we could be.

We spun….
