Return To You

Return To You

A Poem by Rainee Whiting

Return To You

Press your mouth to mine,
suck from me all there is to know.
Swallow all that you love,
spit what you despise into the melting snow.

Breathe into me all that you are,
fill my lungs with life that's new.
Don't quit me, as I am still here,
I will return to you.

Oh, that all knowledge could be garnered from a kiss...but perhaps love is the ultimate understanding, the pinnacle of mortal ability? In the end, love and time make fools of us all eh? Very nicely penned. I enjoyed.

Sometimes fortune doesn't allow people to be together. Yet, their relationship stays forever in their hearts. Very nice writing, I guess this is your true experience and nothing to feel awkward with it cause quite same with me too....
We all are humans, some are fortunate in certain cases and not we. But hoping is the only thing we can have other than confidence. "Never let your hope die within yourself..."
Keep writing...
